WE ARE GOING TO BE LUCKY - A WORLD WAR II LOVE STORY IN LETTERS is based on excerpts from 2,000 letters written between the author's parents during World War II. 

Author Liz Fox and her husband will share a 20-minute dramatic reading based on the book, alternating reading her mother's and father's letters.

About the book:

Liz's father trained in Mississippi for the infantry, fought in Europe, and recovered from injuries in the Battle of the Bulge.  A historian by training, he managed to save and send home her mother's letters detailing her time working at the Brooklyn Navy Yard building periscopes, and her experiences being pregnant and as a new mother, not knowing if her husband would return.
