Four years ago, Peruvian-Chilean-American sociologist Analucía Lopezrevoredo started Jewtina y Co. to nurture Latin-Jewish community, identity, leadership and resiliency. Since then, Jewtina has grown to offer fellowships, a storytelling initiative and workshops.

Lopezrevoredo’s scholarship focuses on Jewish and Latin American migration.

She will be joined at CST by Jewtina Outreach Coordinator Denise Dautoff, an indigenous, Mexican Jew of Color, who is active in the Peninsula Jewish Community and has raised two daughters in Jewish schools.

After the talk, we will enjoy tasting samples of old and new world Latin-Jewish foods. We look forward to seeing you there.

Some 40% of young Bay Area Jewish households are now racially diverse,1 yet most Jews of Color report feeling discriminated against in Jewish settings.2

Let’s make sure everyone feels welcome at CST!

You can also register now for the second and third events in the series.
