While this is indeed similar to Rabbi Berlin, we will be discussing Gene Wilder’s character, Rabbi Avram Belinsky from Rabbi Berlin’s favorite movie, Frisco Kid. This comedy teaches the most important ethic of the Jewish people (along with other life lessons). $22 member, $28 non-member, kids 13 and under free. -

Join Rabbi Berlin and Erev Cantor Wisner for Shabbat Nachamu (Sabbath of comfort), that takes its name from the Haftarah read on Shabbat morning; Isaiah 40:1-26. The portion begins with the powerful repetition of the word, "nachamu," meaning “comfort," referring to God's comforting presence to the Jewish people after the destruction of the First Temple. Join Rabbi Berlin and Alissa Hirshfeld in a retreat to facilitate the soul work necessary to make the Holy Days meaningful. Rabbi Alan Lew (z”l) refers to the Holy Days as a “journey of transformation.” Just as we make ourselves ready for any journey, we can use this time to prepare our hearts and minds for the upcoming Days of Awe. $18 member, $22 non-member. -

An introductory workshop on will and estate planning provided to CST members by the Legacy Circle committee. This will be a discussion of critical decisions and documents needed by every adult, regardless of age and health status. This workshop will not provide specific legal advice and is not designed to address individual issues but is intended to serve as a starting point or a refresher on these sometimes difficult to discuss topics.
