STaRS Mission Statement
Our goal at STaRS is to open a door to learning for every student in order to foster a love of Jewish tradition and community.
As well as in-person sessions, we offer online material for Hebrew study, family education opportunities and field trips. Students will explore Jewish custom and tradition through cooking, art, dance and music. We use a flexible educational system based on the values of Torah, Avodah (prayer), and G'milut Chasadim (acts of loving kindness).
Beginning in 4th grade, students will begin preparing for their B'mitzvah. We hope all of our students will grow into committed and thoughtful Jewish adults who will support and participate in the life of our synagogue and will be a lifelong participant in Jewish communal life.
