SHORTY: Shomrei Torah Temple Youth (SHORTY) is our youth group for 9th-12th graders. SHORTY is affiliated with the National Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY). SHORTY holds monthly social events during the school year. No membership is required, some events have fees.
SHORTY Board: The SHORTY Board plans monthly events for their peers. SHORTY Board meets monthly to plan events and develop leadership skills. Teens that join the SHORTY Board commit to staying on the board for the entire academic year and are expected to attend meetings unless school activities preclude attendance.

Madrichim Program: Our Madrichim Program brings energy and enthusiasm to our religious school. Madrichim volunteer their first year and are paid in subsequent years. This Madrichim Program is a great opportunity to gain job experience. Madrichim are expected to attend all classes unless school activities preclude attendance. Tzedek Social Justice Fellowship: Are you passionate about social justice? The Tzedek Social Justice Fellowship meets during the fall and winter to learn about Social Justice. The cornerstone of this program is the L’Taken Social Justice Seminar, a four day trip to Washington DC that brings together hundreds of Jewish teens from across the country.
The program concludes with the a family Shabbat and Oneg. Due to the cohort nature of this program, teens that participate in this program are expected to attend all programs, unless school activities preclude attendance. Join us in celebrating over three decades of Jewish teens coming together to explore current topics and values through a “Jewish Lens.” In this supportive community, teens find meaningful connections and discover their own beliefs and voices. Enjoy engaging discussions, connection, and fun!
