    6:15 PM: Dinner Pizza in the Hut 6:45 PM: Reading and Dancing with the Torah  Torah is a Tree of Life to those who hold fast to it! We invite you to help us unfurl our scroll as we complete our annual Torah reading cycle and re-roll it to begin all over again. We’ll celebrate with singing, dancing, and time for a little sweet nosh and schmooze. Please register to attend. $18 for dinner, ages 14 and older.

    Gershom Gorenberg is an American-born Israeli journalist and the author of four critically acclaimed books on Israel's modern history, in which he explores and explains the vexing religious and political conflicts that challenge Israel. He co-authored Shalom Friend, a biography of Yitzhak Rabin. Gorenberg is a contributing writer for The Atlantic. His op-eds have appeared in The New York Times, Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times. He has contributed in Hebrew to Haaretz and Maariv. He lives in Jerusalem with his wife, journalist and playwright Myra Noveck.

JCRC mobilizes Bay Area Jews and our allies to counter antisemitism and rising hate, advance social justice, strengthen civic engagement, and ensure a combined response to critical issues we all face.
