What is Chevrutah?

Are you a 7th or 8th grader looking for a supportive and engaging community to navigate the challenges of being a teenager? Look no further! We are thrilled to announce the launch of Chevrutah, the middle school class with a renewed focus on social/educational experiences dedicated to fostering friendship, personal growth, and self-reflection. Chevrutah aims to empower young individuals by offering a unique learning experience through a Jewish lens.

The name "Chevrutah" holds a special meaning in Hebrew, translating to "friendship" or "companionship," and also means a group that learns together. Just as the name suggests, this youth group will emphasize the power of building relationships and connections among its members. By creating an environment of trust and support, Chevrutah will encourage collaboration, teamwork, and a strong sense of community.

One of the primary goals of Chevrutah is to assist 7th and 8th graders in managing the day-to-day challenges of adolescence. As teenagers, it can often feel overwhelming to navigate the complexities of social dynamics, academic pressures, and personal growth. However, through the guidance of Rick and Lara, participants in Chevrutah will gain valuable tools and insights to tackle these hurdles effectively.

The curriculum of Chevrutah is designed to engage students in self-reflection and help them make better choices throughout their lives. By incorporating Jewish values, teachings, and traditions, this youth group offers a unique perspective on personal development. Participants will explore various topics such as empathy, resilience, responsibility, and ethical decision-making, all within a Jewish context.

Chevrutah will provide a safe and inclusive space for participants to express themselves freely, share experiences, and learn from one another. Through dynamic activities, discussions, and experiential learning opportunities, 7th and 8th graders will develop crucial life skills while deepening their connection to their Jewish heritage.

If you are seeking a transformative experience and a supportive community during your middle school years, we invite you to join Chevrutah. Rick and Lara are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where every participant can thrive and grow. Together, let's embark on a journey of self-discovery, friendship, and personal empowerment. To enroll, click the link above. Don't miss this incredible opportunity to become a part of Chevrutah and embrace the power of companionship and Jewish values in shaping your teenage years!
