What's Cooking at CST - Rugelach!

“What’s Cooking at CST” returns with a series of Jewish cooking and baking events.

Baking Host: Ronnie Campagna

In this class, participants will learn about the history and varieties of rugelach while creating this sweet treat from start to finish including how to make the dough and various fillings. You will also have access to recipes for Israeli rugelach and gluten free rugelach.   

Rugelach, the quintessential Jewish confection, is rumored to have originated in Poland. The rugelach in Israel is usually made with a yeast dough, but in America, the dough usually contains cream cheese (thanks to a marketing campaign done by Philadelphia cream cheese).
