An unforgettable afternoon of live music at Shomrei Torah!   

Doors open to the Beit Cafe at 2:30 for coffee, hot chocolate and desserts. Three incredible bands will perform, featuring members from our own congregation.

The Ravens Blues

A Chicago Blues band featuring Rabbi George on guitar and vocals, CST member Stan Greenberg on guitar and vocals, Henry White on harmonica and vocals, Earnest Harris on drums and Larry Metz on base.

 

 

Copeland Creek Brass

Led by Dr. Brian Wilson on trombone, Ruth Wilson on French horn, CST member Dave Fichera on trumpet, Hikaru Hallberg on trumpet, and Juan Vilasenor on tuba. They’ve prepared a special program of Dr. Wilson’s original Klezmer arrangements for this performance including such favorites as Tsena Tsena, Raisins and Almonds, and more. Founded in 2004 by music educators at Sonoma State University, Copeland Creek Brass plays brass music to suit all tastes. Copeland Creek Brass regularly performs at special events and ceremonies.

 

 

Dawnlemon

An all-female alternative rock/folk band featuring CST teen sisters Sofia and Milly Fichera, along with their friend Fiona Bowman, known to the CST community as the musicians behind “I Have a Voice.” For this performance, they will be putting their spin on Jewish favorites by Debbie Friedman and Matisyahu, along with some of their originals. Their debut EP “Hey Kid” can be found on all major streaming platforms.
