Sunday, March 30, 2025 • 1 Nisan 5785
2:00 PM - 4:00 PMIf you are worried and concerned about what you can do to help our immigrant friends and neighbors during this time of political crisis, please join us for this informative program. Our guest speaker is Richard Coshnear, attorney and Legal Director of Vidas (Vital Immigrant Defense Advocacy and Services). He has practiced immigration law before the Immigration Courts, Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Federal district and circuit courts for 22 years.
Mr. Coshnear will discuss what we can do as individuals and as a congregation to legally resist ICE and assist our undocumented friends and workers. He will also speak on the topic of sanctuary, what it means and what it entails. He will be presenting information on the current immigration situation, what the federal immigration law specifies as to our rights and responsibilities and how that applies to us in Sonoma County. Find out how California is different from other states as to cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as well as how local law enforcement is dealing with our undocumented population.
There will be ample time for questions and answers. There is no charge to attend but you must pre-register.
We are stronger and safer when we work together as a community.
