With Nolan at the piano, Cantorial Soloist Erica Wisner will be joined by Los Angeles Cantor Jonathan Friedmann, our Director of Education & Youth Engagement, Lara Brown, and the Shomrei Shira choir. Guest Cantor Jonathan L. Friedmann, Ph.D., (right) is president of the Western States Jewish History Association, director of the Jewish Museum of the American West, and creator and co-host of Amusing Jews, a YouTube/podcast interview show celebrating Jewish contributors and contributions to American popular culture. He is also the community leader of Adat Chaverim - Congregation for Humanistic Judaism, Los Angeles. A prolific scholar of Jewish music, musical aesthetics, biblical studies, Jewish history, and religion and popular culture, Jonathan has published over 30 books and over 100 scholarly papers.
