Jeff Nathanson, Executive Director and Art Curator of the Museum of Sonoma County brings us "Museums and the Art of Social Change". He will discuss how concepts of social justice and social change can be communicated, explored, and ideas put into action. 

Jeff Nathanson has had a distinguished career as a curator, arts administrator, and educator. He has served as Executive Director and Art Curator for the Museum of Sonoma County since September 2017. Previously, he was Executive Director of the Arts Council of Princeton, he was a special projects curator for the Princeton University Art Museum, he served as Director of the International Sculpture Center (publisher of Sculpture Magazine) and was Executive Director of the Richmond Art Center (Richmond, CA). In addition, Nathanson directed San Francisco Open Studios and has been a consultant, guest lecturer and guest curator with a range of universities, cultural and educational organizations including East Michigan University, California College of the Arts, Rhode Island School of Design, San Francisco Art Institute, San Francisco State University, and others. Jeff studied fine arts and music at UCLA and UC Santa Cruz, and nonprofit management at Indiana University School of Philanthropy.
