Join us for a joyful evening and Shabbat service. Everyone is welcome. 5:15–5:45 PM: PJ Library gathering for families with children under the age of 9. 5:30–6 PM: Dinner ALL are invited to attend the meal. Adult Members ($22), Adult Non-Members ($28). No Charge for kids under 13. 6:15 PM: All are welcome to this service. During the D’var Torah, there will be a program for school-age children.

Rabbi Stone joined the organizing team at LA Voice in 2025. Every day we amplify that power by uniting diverse faith voices to stand-up for what their communities need, winning changes that improve the lives of all Angelenos. LA Voice’s organizing presence is based throughout LA County, across 5 county supervisorial districts and 28 strategic cities. In addition to this, LA Voice holds strategic power relationships with U.S. Congressional representatives, mayors and city councils of major cities within the county to facilitate a progressive racial equity agenda in the region.

Thanksgiving Shabbat

It is fundamentally Jewish to express gratitude. Modim anachnu lach, grateful we are! Come fill your cup at this Thanksgiving Shabbat service where we will welcome our friends from Christ Church United Methodist and celebrate the longstanding success of Elisha's Pantry. Shomrei Shirah, CST's choir, will combine with the CCUM choir and feature music reflecting on and inspiring gratitude. After the service, join us for a festive oneg. If you are able to, please bring a jar of pasta sauce for Elisha's Pantry's monthly food collection.

Dr. Beth Cousens is known nationally for her vision for a more engaged and authentic Jewish experience. She helps organizations create and adapt projects that meet the opportunities and challenges of 21st century Judaism, specifically programs that are accessible and rich with Jewish tradition. She has been a member of the senior professional teams at the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund (San Francisco Bay Area), The Jewish Federations of North America, and Hillel International. As a consultant, she has worked with dozens of community-based and national organizations on research and initiative design, program evaluation, strategic planning and organizational assessment, professional and leadership development, and more.

Shabbat Hanukkah with Shomrei Shira, CST's Choir

During the darkest time of year, we celebrate light. So come light up the night at Shabbat Hanukkah - literally! Bring a hanukkiah with candles from home and we'll illuminate the sanctuary by lighting candles together at the beginning of services. Shomrei Shira, CST's choir, will add a musical glow to our service and we'll enjoy delicious donuts and latkes at the oneg. No charge but registration is required.

Rabbi's Tisch with Tye Gregory, Chief Executive Officer of the JCRC

JCRC Bay Area is the largest collective voice of the Jewish community across Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, and Sonoma Counties. JCRC advocates for Jews to be able to live their own authentic Jewish lives and believe that by working together with other communities, the full vibrancy and diversity of Jewish identity will be embraced and celebrated. JCRC mobilizes Bay Area Jews and our allies to counter antisemitism and rising hate, advance social justice, strengthen civic engagement, and ensure a combined response to critical issues we all face. Tye joined JCRC as its fifth executive leader in April of 2020. Under his leadership, JCRC pursues a just world where Jewish identity is embraced, and all people can thrive.
