Bring your own lunch and join us!

During our three weeks together, we will look at texts from the historical books in the Tanach and from the books of the prophets themselves. Through our study, we will understand what they said about themselves, what others said about them, their role as moral conscience and agents of social justice, and their movement from doom to hope.

What can we learn from studying their texts?

Who were those we call “Prophets in Israel”?

How did the concept evolve from ‘readers of fortune’ to ‘voices of conscience’?

Were they nostalgic or visionaries?
