We Jews have accrued great wisdom and depth throughout our long history, and many wounds as well, due to centuries of adversity. We now know that both individual and collective trauma can leave residual patterns that can linger over time and be transmitted to future generations. These patterns can be dissolved and healed when faced, felt, and understood.
As we approach Passover, the season of liberation, join Shomrei Torah and special guest, Rabbi Dr. Tirzah Firestone, for an extraordinary journey as we explore our intergenerational legacies—the wise and beloved ones, as well as the wounds we would rather not pass down.
Rabbi Firestone will be drawing from her scientific research, psychological case studies, and Jewish teachings to help us glean our families' positives and heal our historical traumas.
Rabbi Dr. Tirzah Firestone is an author, Jungian psychotherapist, leader in the international Jewish Renewal Movement, and a renowned Jewish scholar and teacher.
