This program will be focused on an interview given to Moment magazine on YouTube about changes in Zionism and Israeli society, what Israel is going through and the October 7 war. A link of that interview is attached. It is a highly thoughtful YouTube interview we recommend everyone to watch.
Fania discusses Theodor Herzl’s and David Ben Gurion’s vision of Zionism, what it means to be a humanist Zionist today, and shares her concerns about some other Zionist strains. Fania is the oldest daughter of the late Amos Oz, the national author of Israel.
Fania is a history professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Haifa. Fania studies the European Enlightenment, History of Political thought, Political Hebraism in early modern Europe, and current affairs in Israel and Europe
