Building Your Palace in Time
This year's curriculum is based on Rabbi Joshua Heschel's teaching that on Shabbat our homes become a "palace in time," a holy Jewish space separated in time. While we are not able to safely gather together as a community in the synagogue, this year's curriculum will focus on creating meaningful Jewish traditions and space within our homes. Each week will be filled with art projects, text discussions, hands-on activities, online resources, and even bonus recipes, social justice projects, and videos to help our families engage in Judaism as a family at home in a fun and meaningful way. Then, on Sundays, we will come together virtually as a community to share what we learned during the week.
As you begin each week's lesson, make sure to:
- Check this webpage for an introductory video from Rabbi Kramer
- Read through your weekly. guide for instructions
- Complete the projects and activities
- Check out the Virtual Classroom for the week and look through the bonus material!
