    Shabbat ShaBoogie Shabbat ShaBoogie is a very special Shabbat experience for families with children 3rd grade and under! Begin with a short service with music, dancing and stories - and then enjoy a light dinner and dessert with all of your new friends! Shabbat ShaBoogie is a free event but please RSVP so we know how much food to order.

    JUSTY Hamentaschen Cook Off

    Calling all bakers, cookie lovers, and culinary visionaries! Are you feeling inventive? Have you ever combined foods to see what will taste best? Do you LOVE Hamentaschen? Then this is the event for you! Following religious school on March 1st we will have a JUSTY lunch and then a Hamentaschen Bake-Off. In this Hamentaschen workshop you will have the opportunity to invent and name your own hamentaschen flavors. Dough and some fillings will be provided, and additional “secret” ingredients from home to add to your creation are highly encouraged

SHORTY, NFTY, Chaverim (grades 9-12)

Shomrei Torah’s Reform Temple Youth Group (SHORTY),  part of the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY), the Reform Jewish youth movement. NFTY strives to provide meaningful and engaging youth experiences for teens and fosters leadership at the national, regional and congregational level.

SHORTY is open to all 9th-12th graders to enrich their connection to Judaism, socialize with fellow Jewish teens, attend local and regional events, and enhance their leadership skills. Contact Morgan to get involved!  Application for SHORTY Board 2020 is available HERE.

NFTY Central West is excited to bring the NFTY spirit to the South Bay, where we will be hosted by Congregation Shir Hadash in Los Gatos, CA & Temple Emanu-El in San Jose, CA.     Chaverim, 9th Grade

    Thursday, Mar 26th 6:30p to 8:30p
    For teens entering 8th -12th grade from all five Sonoma County synagogues and the Jewish community at large. Chaverim provides a unique venue that inspires involvement in Jewish life. Students meet by grade level for weeknight dinner discussions, and are also encouraged to participate in other Jewish teen activities here and in the Bay area. Meetings provide the opportunity to experience social interaction and engaging discussions dealing with relevant emerging young adult issues as well as ethical topics- all through a Jewish lens.
